ABOUT
In the Empordà, near the Mediterranean coast
Vinyes Mas Pagès is a small winery in the Empordà, on Spain’s Costa Brava. We grow the grapes and make the wine on the property, from harvest to bottling.
THE VINEYARD
Grown with minimal intervention
Our focus is on low-intervention winemaking: minimal handling in the vineyard and the cellar.
We cultivate 3.5 hectares of vines without chemical pesticides or artificial fertilizers. Our grapes — Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains Cariñena Blanca and Garnacha Blanca — are handpicked at peak ripeness and fermented using only native yeasts. The wines are unfiltered, unfined, and bottled in limited batches.
VINYES MAS PAGÈS
A Catalan heritage site
The foundations of our masia date back to 1320, and the current stone farmhouse was built around 1630. Once used for olive oil and grain storage, the property was restored with respect for its original Catalan architecture, using reclaimed materials and local craftsmanship. It sits at the edge of the Les Gavarres Natural Park, surrounded by pine forests, olive trees, and wild herbs.
Thanks to its unique microclimate, shaped by the Tramontana winds from the Pyrenees and the proximity to the Mediterranean Sea, our estate offers ideal conditions for growing expressive grapes with natural balance.

We farm without shortcuts — no additives, no corrections, only grapes, time and the character of this corner of the Costa Brava. It is slower, and it tastes like where it comes from.
BART & FLEUR
About Us
We’re Bart Obertop and Fleur Bok, a Dutch couple with a background in Amsterdam’s food and drink scene. For years, Bart brewed beer at Brouwerij ‘t IJ, while Fleur worked in journalism. After years of visiting Spain, we moved to Catalonia in 2022 and took over Vinyes Mas Pagès, a family-run wine estate. Since then we’ve focused on growing our own grapes, making wine on-site, and opening the estate to guests.
